Watching yellow butterflies
glide over the garden
heralding a transformation
from conventional life
into the freedom of unknown wonders.
Possessions packed will
soon roll along the unfamiliar
carousel of strangers’ baggage
holding tragic and bold stories
waiting to be shared in the
anonymity of airspace.
Between destinations
life is lived
filled with laughter
dismantled by longings
ebb and flow of drumbeats
calling the heart to fly
beyond boundaries
piloted by destiny.
