The Creativity of Dreams

Do you ever remember your dreams? Lately I have been remembering mine, and it got me thinking about the mysterious world of dreams and how our subconscious land of dreams could provide a bridge to our conscious creative lives.

I have marveled at the depth of meaning of my recent dreams that manifested in scenarios I would never have imagined in my daily life. How did these thoughts get into my dreams with all of the symbolism and angst of a Greek tragedy? Is there a hidden from daylight creativity that emerges in the undistracted nighttime of slumber? If so, then how can we access these marvelously fantastical stories to inspire our daily lives?

The vibrations of our dreams and their otherworldly aura indicate to me that there is a divine force guiding each of our lives. During the daytime this guidance can be what we call a “gut feeling” or intuition about a person or situation. When we sleep, divinely crafted dramas are also a form of guidance resplendent with messages. If we, in faith, connect with the energy of thoughts implanted within us and are not overcome by the distraction of conventions, I believe we can use this guidance in our daily lives.

Creativity can be considered another sort of otherworldly activity manifesting ideas and experiences beyond the realm of our daily existence. Have you ever felt transported by a piece of music or moved to tears by a painting? The creative opus by the artist, and your experience with their work without personally knowing them supports the idea that creativity is divinely ordained. The universality of creativity conveys telepathic messages like our dreams.

Perhaps tonight, when you close your eyes, your mind lulling to sleep, you will notice and recall a dream created divinely, spawned within you, meant to illuminate your magical journey of life.
