Sharing Creative Ideas Speaking from Your heart
Sometimes we get an opportunity to share creative ideas with a wider audience. When we get the chance, it is often the impromptu questions that could be unnerving. In those instances, I remember the advice of my husband Dan when I was nervous to speak to an audience, or in a media presentation: “speak from your heart, and it will always be perfect.” I carry this thought with me wherever I go, and honestly I could not do anything other than speak from my heart.
Speaking from your heart does not mean that you reveal your private life or inner-most dreams.Speaking from your heart, for instance means, sharing why you are passionate about something or what inspires you. Speaking from your heart means sharing a piece of wisdom or advice you have learned that could help another person. Speaking from your heart means being authentic to yourself and your experiences. Speaking from your heart is a courageous act of expression that can give important insights about your creative endeavors.
