Music Inspires Creativity

Almost on a daily basis, usually in the morning as I am getting Pippa’s breakfast (Pippa is my four year old dog), I crank up music and dance. My music selections  reflect my mood at the moment and the range of my choices is vast.  One day I dance to The Bee Gees, the next time it could be Stevie Wonder or Billie Eilish. Vibing to music and dancing is a jubilant way to begin the day, not to mention, I think Pippa gets a kick out of watching my dance moves because she gets all zoomed-up.

Other times, when the spirit moves me, I create my own music. First, I pull out the sheet music, usually show tunes and nostalgic songs from my childhood. Once I am “warmed up” I then dibble and dabble creating free-flowing melodies. Although I am not willing to share these “works” publicly at this time, they personally please me self-expressively.

Attending concerts performed by my favorite artists is a fun way I enjoy the creativity of musical expression. The energy of music enhances the spirit and comradery of the crowd as everyone in attendance is engaged in a unifying creative experience.

Music uniquely is a catalyst for creativity as it envelopes our souls on a spiritual level and at the same time ignites our physical world inspiring participation and enjoyment.
