In My Artist Studio Having A Lark Of A Time

I am having the time of my life exploring my new- found passion for painting. I have no formal training nor am I seeking that sort of study.  My engagement with acrylic paints, pastels and collage is purely impressionistic, and totally filled with personal pleasure.

 

Currently I am visualizing my own imagined world in particular scenes outdoors.  Sometimes it is an actual mountain range that I have experienced like the San Jacinto Mountains and other times it is an imagined enchanted forest I saw in a dream.

 

It is difficult to share my works in unprofessional photographs I take with my i-phone but that is not the point of my sharing my paintings in this blog.  The point is to inspire you to explore new ways to express your creativity at any time in your life. If you had asked me a year ago, I would have never imagined I would paint or that I could.  Today, painting is a lark that I am loving, and that sort of personal fulfillment is beyond measure.
